A lot of asian cultures have a wierd way of dealing with prostitution....It's only bad, and you can only lose face if someone in your family finds out about it. The ethics are all shame based rather than the western guilt based. So it is ok to cheat or steal...that process is ok, but if you are exposed as a thief and lose face (ie you are shamed) that is bad.  Anyhoo Nicka is another one of those farm girls who sends back money to her parents and tells them she's a nurse in Manila.
